How we work

Your initial consultation starts with a thorough case history to enable us to understand your concerns and needs.

This is followed by hands-on treatment for your body, targeted at increasing mobility and decreasing pain. What does ‘hands-on’ treatment mean? We’ll use a combination of soft tissue massage, joint mobility therapies and joint manipulations when indicated.

Finally we provide advice for your self management between consultations. This includes exercise recommendations, stretching and mobility exercises and lifestyle advice for your general health.

All follow up consultations are for 30 minutes and focus on body treatment.

Dr Whitney Lewis

Hello! I’m Whitney, a registered osteopath and the face behind Great Southern Osteopathy.

Local to WA’s South West, I moved to Melbourne to study a 3 year Bachelor of Applied Science (Complementary Medicine) and 2 year Master of Osteopathy. I graduated from RMIT University in 2013.

After spending 10 years between Melbourne and Adelaide I returned to Perth in 2019 to be closer to family, and in 2021 I moved to Denmark WA with my partner, looking to enjoy the laid-back south coast lifestyle.

In my spare time you might find me doing a reformer Pilates workout or swimming, beach combing or camping whenever the opportunity presents itself!

To make an initial appointment to see me in either Denmark or Albany, use the ‘book online’ button below.
